MSMEs Encouraged to Participate in Critical National Survey.

In alignment with its data-driven approach to decision-making, the Government of Saint Lucia, through the Department of Commerce, is encouraging Micro-, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) to participate in a national survey that will help guide the establishment of the proposed Saint Lucia Production and Innovation Centre.

The survey, which targets manufacturers and agro-processors, represents a critical information-gathering tool to facilitate local enterprise development, expand production and export capacities, and improve commercial competitiveness beyond the domestic market.

The proposed centre is intended to provide MSMEs with access to proper workspaces, shared equipment, standardized materials, and support services designed to enhance quality assurance. This facility is expected to address many of the common challenges faced by small producers, including limited access to commercial- or industrial-grade equipment, supply chain bottlenecks when acquiring packaging material, and high operational costs. Direct feedback from businesses will assist in determining the scope of design and available services, and the operational priorities of the facility.

The survey will identify industry-specific needs, ensuring that the centre is practical and responsive. This resource represents a tangible pillar of the Love Saint Lucia campaign, which continues to promote greater support for local goods, services, and entrepreneurship while stimulating national pride.

The Department of Commerce urges all agro-processors, manufacturers, and other relevant MSMEs to complete the online survey and lend their voices to this important initiative. The survey can be accessed via the QR code or link provided on the Department of Commerce’s social media pages. The deadline for survey completion has been extended to June 1st, 2026.
