Industrial development and commercial regulation.
The Commerce & Industry Unit is a primary driver of industrial growth and private-sector competitiveness in Saint Lucia. Through the administration of the Fiscal Incentives Act and the Trade Licence Act, the Unit facilitates investment and delivers essential services across key sectors including manufacturing and services.
Its core mandate covers fiscal incentives processing, trade licence administration, trade facilitation and the structured development of Saint Lucia’s productive sectors. Working at the sectoral level, the Unit engages industry stakeholders to strengthen the regulatory and business environment, drive sector organisation and build the capacity of established enterprises to grow, innovate and compete.
